A thermal two-point function describes the response of a system at finite temperature to a small perturbation.
In theories with a holographic dual, it encodes black hole geometry as seen by a probe particle. I will discuss properties
of the thermal two-point function in general, as well as those specific to holographic systems. I will speculate how some
of the properties of holographic correlators could be extended to more general quantum systems at finite temperature.
